Air Max 89 was intended as a successor to the Air Max. Marketed as a performance running shoe, it would eventually be overshadowed by the Air Max III, now known as the Air Max 90. And
Air Max 89 is re-released in 2007, the 89 continues to release in both retro and new colorways.
